Drishti A focal point. A fixed, non-moving object on which to gaze. In more advanced practices, eyes can be closed, letting go of all outside distractions. In the beginning stages, however, it is helpful to fix your drishti on something static. Drishti is different in each pose - sometimes looking up towards a raised hand, back toward the navel or knees, or straight out in front.
No matter the suggested drishti, you should be mindful to keep your head and neck in a comfortable position.
